FA Bans Diego Costa for 3 matches after stamping Liverpool defender twice

Spain striker Diego Costa has been giving a 3 match ban after alleged stamp on Liverpool defender Emre Can.

The 3 match ban was giving by the English Football Association.

Diego Costa clashed with the Liverpool defender while challenging for the ball during the Capital One second leg game at Stamford Bridge.

The 26 year old lost his appeal and his 3 match ban will take effect immediately.

Diego Costa will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after a charge of violent conduct against him was found proven by an Independent Regulatory Commission on Friday 30 January 2015.
The Chelsea forward had denied the charge in relation to an on-field incident involving Liverpool's Emre Can which occurred in the 12th minute of the League Cup semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 27 January 2015.
The incident was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.

However,Diego Costa will miss the matches against the Champions Manchester City as well as Aston Villa and Everton.
